Welcome Bonus Terms: What a Percentage Banner Leaves Out
By PHPVIP Editorial Team
- Written for readers 21 and overIn the Philippines nobody under 21 may gamble, so every page here is written for readers past that birthday, whatever another sign-up form accepts.
- Every button leads to 76JLOur buttons all carry a single referral link, and that link opens 76JL; not one of them leads into a PHPVIP lobby.
- Facts held to public listsStatements about licences, wallets and age limits are compared with PAGCOR lists and BSP circulars before they are printed.
You are about to register and a banner says the first deposit will be matched, so the natural question is how much is really yours. A welcome bonus is extra credit that arrives with conditions, and its true size is the headline less what those conditions take back. The PHPVIP home banner and news notice list four rewards for new members, and the first is a first-deposit bonus of up to 118%.
Before you go: the percentage tells you the ceiling, never the payout.
Welcome Bonus: What the Banner States and Omits
You may read “up to 118%” as a promise. It is a ceiling, and the screens read on 5 November 2026 did not show a peso cap beside it.
- Stated: a first-deposit match of up to 118%, listed first among four new-member rewards.
- Stated: later rewards on day 2, day 7 and day 15, which the day-2 cashback page covers.
- Not shown: the wagering multiple, the top bet, the deadline and the cash-out cap.
- Not shown: whether one deposit route changes the percentage.
A missing line is not a hidden fee; it is simply a question you should have answered before you pay.
Before you go: if the card has no deadline, ask what happens to unfinished credit.
How a Percentage Match Plays Out
You deposit ₱1,000 and want to know what the match does to your play. Take the full 118 percent as a test case: it would add ₱1,180 of credit, making ₱2,180 on screen. The numbers below are an illustration with round figures, not the lobby’s terms.
| If the card said | Stake required |
|---|---|
| 10x on the bonus alone | ₱11,800 |
| 10x on deposit plus bonus | ₱21,800 |
The same headline can mean a stake that differs by ₱10,000, so the base matters more than the percentage does. The wagering requirement worked example page walks through more cases, and the free spins page covers the other common attachment.
Before you go: ask what base the multiple sits on: bonus only, or deposit and bonus combined.
The Order to Read a Welcome Offer
You will save time if you read the card in the same order every time.
- Start with the headline percentage and note whether the word “up to” appears.
- Move to the base, which tells you whether the match is on the deposit alone.
- Find the multiple, then the base it is counted on.
- Find the top bet, the deadline and the cash-out cap.
- Look for any rule about withdrawing during the offer.
If the card has no deadline or no cap, that is a question for live chat, and the answer should arrive in writing. The same order works for the other first-week rewards, such as the day-2 and day-7 cashback lines.
Before you go: finish the list before you reach for the deposit button.
Red Flags to Watch For
You can protect yourself with a short list, because a weak welcome offer usually shows itself early.
- A percentage with no deadline, no cap and no wagering line anywhere on the card.
- A code or a link from a Telegram or Viber message instead of the promotions page.
- A claim that the bonus carries “no risk” or “no conditions”.
- A screenshot of someone else’s win offered as proof of the terms.
- A request to deposit through a route the cashier does not list.
None of these proves a lobby is dishonest. Any one of them is a cue to slow down and read the card in your own account after logging in to your account, or to skip the offer when you reach the register page.
Nobody under 21 should play, and no bonus is worth depositing more than you can lose. The full list of bonus types lays out the other offers.
Before you go: if you cannot find the terms, the safest welcome bonus is the one you do not claim.
How to Get Started
-
Read the card before the deposit
On the promotions page, tap the first-deposit card and read every line, including text set inside the image.
-
Price it with four numbers
Note the multiple, the top bet, the deadline and the cash-out cap, then work out the stake the multiple implies.
-
Deposit only what you would stake anyway
If the maths asks for more play than you planned, register without the offer.
